Just 2.5 miles to Mount Desert Island and the one of the country’s most beautiful national parks. The cottage sits up on a bluff overlooking the bay, with views of Cadillac and Sargeant Mountains. Stairs take you down to 250’ of sandy shoreline where the tide brings in new adventures every day. Sunbathe, kayak, swim and build sand castles on your beach. Located on beautiful wooded property (there are some astounding 100 foot trees), wildlife abounds around the cottage, including deer, fox, and bald eagles! Facing south, the cottage and property enjoy bright sunshine and sunrises. The cottage has 3 bedrooms (sleeps up to 8), living room and full kitchen, 2 bathrooms (1 full, 1 with shower only). The bedrooms have 1 king bed, 1 queen, 2 twins. This single-story cottage features a unique 2nd floor loft (or crow’s nest) with panoramic windows for amazing views—a great sitting, relaxing room, or even a 4th bedroom as it has a sleep sofa! Amenities include hardwood floors in the great room, dishwasher, washer/dryer, all linens, cookware, dining ware, beach chairs, cable TV, WIFI, A/C in the great room, toaster, microwave oven, coffee maker (no landline phone, but cell phones do get reception here). There is a furnished outdoor deck with gas BBQ for enjoying the glorious Maine summer weather and a firepit to take down to the beach. All the comforts of home in a lovely, comfortable oceanside cottage! Nautic Bay is about an 18 minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor—where you’ll find great seafood, restaurants, a movie theatre, bike rentals shopping—and a 15-minute drive to the main entrance to Acadia National Park (although just a few minutes to the Information Center).
