A little about the property

Spacious rooms, lovely garden views, a sweet gazebo for outdoor entertaining— George's Garden is a wonderful haven right in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor. And it's just a 2 minute walk to the Shore Path, about a 1/2 mile walking path along the eastern shore of Bar Harbor. Created around 1880, the Shore Path provides the perfect morning or afternoon walk for those who want to enjoy the ocean and see the four Porcupine Islands, as well as the rocky granite shores and beautiful old mansions. This 2-story, five bedroom cottage features one king bedroom and a bedroom with two daybeds and trundles (4 twin beds total) on the first floor, as well as the living room, kitchen, dining and a bathroom with double sinks and double showers (it also has heated floors and heated towel rack!). The second floor features one queen bedroom, one king, one bedroom with two twins, and a full bathroom (tub and separate shower). The queen and king bedrooms have peek-a-boo views of the ocean! There is a 3rd bathroom, with shower, on the 1st floor. The large kitchen is fully stocked with a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, cookware and dining ware. There are 3 cable TVs (living room, kitchen, 2nd floor king bedroom), a stereo, DVD player, and high speed internet. No landline phone but cell service is good. Most of the bedrooms have in-window A/C units (except 1st floor Garden Room). There is a gas BBQ grill, and outdoor dining for ten on the patio under the gazebo.
